The owner, Gary Scheeler, formed his very first business back in 1975 working as a sewer and water contractor. In 1993, he wanted a change so he formed a different business working as a telecommunications contractor and growing his company to one of the largest territorial contractors for US West and Ameritech. Briefly thinking he wanted to slow things down a bit, he purchased a very small lawn and garden dealership back in 2001. Immediately, he saw the need to grow this business and began hiring quality personnel such as his service manager with over 37 years industry experience, his service technicians ranging from 5-35 years experience, his parts department carrying over 20 years experience, and of course his enthusiastic sales staff Together with his decision to rid the company of many of the other competitive lines and focus on Quality – Cub Cadet seemed like the logical choice.
Brainerd Country Power continues to carry some of the best lines in the market. With Cub Cadet/Yanmar leading the way with riders, compact tractors, and the zero turn commercial lines….we also decided to continue to branch out and carry the best lines for Generators, Handheld Equipment, and Chainsaws.
